Först tyckte vi att vi fick lokalens sämsta bord, vi blev nämligen placerade bakom ytterdörren i en liten vrå. Det visade sig dock snabbt att det snarare var det bästa bordet: lokalen blev snabbt full (man avvisade gäster som inte beställt bord hela tiden) och ljudvolymen steg för varje minut. Vårt lilla hörn agerade som en härlig oas dit kaoset inte nådde fram.
Personalen var ojämn. Killen som först mötte oss var trevlig, effektiv och duktig. Killen som blev vår servitör var rörig, hade ingen koll och var långsam. Att säga att han var dålig är för starkt, men han hade kunnat skärpa till sig.
Vi gick dit främst för tequilan. Tyvärr hade stället som, åtminstone när det kom, lanserades som ”Tequilaställe” och ”Stockholms främsta Tequilabar” ingen tequilalista. Jag väntade mig en lista, minst lika seriös som en vinlista, med alla olika tequilasorter. Både för att dricka rent (och nej, tequila ska inte shotas!) och för att få drinkar av. Nu fick vi istället bli de jobbiga kunderna som frågade om allt. Och trots att vi förklarade vad vi var ute efter hade vi när vi gick hem bara fått testa tre olika sorter (på sju eller åtta tillfällen)!
Istället var det maten som stod i fokus. Och maten var god. Men alldeles för tillkrånglad för min smak. Varför ha ”Chokladterrine serverad med päronsorbet, mintmousse, pärongelè och karameliserade pinjenötter” när man kan få det minst lika gott med bara choklad och päronsorbet? (Ja, det var min dessert, och chokladterrinen var fantastisk och päronsorbeten god. Resten var bara konstigt).
Sambon var dock riktigt nöjd med sin mat och som sagt – allt var gott, det är bara jag som vill ha det lite renare.
Till maten drack jag margeritas och Johan testade en margerita, några rena tequilas och en Mexican Coffee (typ Irish men med tequila = roligare än gott tydligen).
