Jag är något av en hotellnörd. Jag älskar hotell och har tillsammans med maken en affärsidé (som vi aldrig kommer förverkliga) inom hotellbranschen. Det allra bästa är förstås när hotell överraskar och är bättre än förväntat. Det var precis vad hotellet på Gran Canaria gjorde! Vi bodde på Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort, en riktig pärla. Fantastisk frukost, bra personal, härlig lobbybar, fantastiskt poolområde, bra spa, underbar omgivning … Badrummen var i det närmsta perfekta, rummen bra. Och bara en sådan sak som att beställningen ”ett glas Cava” serverades i form av en piccoloflaska cava i en egen ishink! Ska jag anmärka på något skulle det vara att gratis wifi bara fanns i lobbyn (jag valde dock att köpa till för hela området, 100 kronor för en vecka) och att väggfärgerna var lite väl starka. Men det är ju små, små detaljer.

Resten av resan var också bra. Vädret var helt ok för att vara mars, det gick att hänga vid poolerna och till och med bada. Det var min första riktiga charterresa som vuxen (det var billigare än att boka flyg och hotell separat) och jag har aldrig varit så oinformerad och oomhändertagen. Så nej, Fritidsresor och charter är inte min grej. Tur att vi kan ta hand om oss själva.
